Fool on the hill is an annual event of the Alliance of Mountain Trekkers and Adventurers (AMTA) which falls every last sunday of February. It is an AMTA holiday and a normal Sunday ride with a sum of approximately 155kms.  It is set to start and finish at the AMTA station in Abuno Minglanilla at 5:00 AM.  Route: Minglanilla - Carcar - Mantalungon - Aloguinsan - Pinamungajan - Toledo - Balamban - Transcentral Highway - JY, Lahug Cebu City - Minglanilla. Decent time of completion is 12 hours or less. This event is considered to be an internal race among fellow AMTA bikers. Guests are also welcome to participate in this traditional event. November 13, 2016 Sunday I woke up fifteen minutes before my alarm was scheduled to set off at 4:00am. I quickly got out of bed and prepared breakfast (rice and corned beef). Prior to that, my excitement already woke me up at 12MN and 2AM. My bike buddy Dennis started pedaling from A.S Fortuna Banilad at 4:00AM. We met at Star Mall, Lawaan Talisay and rode off at exactly 5:00AM. We had breakfast in Carcar (2nd time for me). We had a quick stop at Barili Milk Station ‘coz Dennis utilized their roadside comfort room. Most of the bikers heading South would take their breakfast in this along the road cafeteria   The famous Molave Milk Station of Barili. Right after the long descent of Barili to Dumanjug, I noticed that my right shifter would no longer function. We tried to fix it but to no avail. We decided to have it fixed by an expert.
